The House of Representatives held an investigative hearing yesterday with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB in the presence of the witness Miss Ejikeme Mmesoma of Anglican Girls Secondary School, Nnewi, Anambra State who sat for the 2023 UTME, over her Fake UTME Result.

During the Investigative hearing, the JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, noted that following Investigations, it was discovered that the student had forged and presented a fake result; maintaining that the Board’s security architecture was not hacked into.

When given an opportunity to speak, Mmesoma had read out a LETTER apologizing to JAMB and Nigerians for her actions, which she admitted painted the examination board in bad light.

The House had afterwards, set up an Ad-hoc Committee chaired by Hin. Sada Soli (APC, Katsina) to investigate the “alleged manipulation, & JAMB facilities” with a view to averting a future reoccurrence.
