Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has inaugurated seven newly completed roads in Ikoyi 2, Eti-Osa Local Government Area.
The roads include Femi Okunnu Road, MacPherson Road, Oyinkan Abayomi Drive, Ilabere Road, Ilu Drive, Inupa Road, and Kuramo Road.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony on Monday, Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted the significance of the road network in enhancing Lagos’s global competitiveness. He emphasized that the new infrastructure would reduce travel time, provide seamless access within the Ikoyi community, and ensure that governance impacts all areas of the state.
“These roads represent our commitment to making Lagos a globally competitive city. They save travel time, create seamless access, and ensure governance reaches all corners,” Sanwo-Olu stated, urging residents to avoid activities that could compromise the durability of the roads.
Lawmaker Gbolahan Ishawu, representing Eti-Osa Constituency 2 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, praised the project for its positive impact on residents and real estate investors in Eti-Osa, noting that the infrastructure would spur economic growth and improve the quality of life in the area.
