Frank Lampard is set to be appointed interim Chelsea manager until the end of the season, coming just over two years after the club sacked him.
Lampard who has been out of a job since January when he was dismissed by Everton, has to guide The Blues who are 14 points outside the top four, despite having spent more than £550m on new players this season.
They travel to Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday and face Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on 12 April.
Chelsea have new round of talks already scheduled with Julian Nagelsmann, and Luis Enrique as long term job candidates.
