The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has reiterated its commitment to providing businesses in Nigeria with a friendly tax administration and streamlined services.
Dr. Zacch Adedeji, the Executive Chairman of FIRS, made this assurance during a meeting with the management team of MTN Nigeria, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Karl Toriola, in Abuja.
Adedeji emphasized the agency’s dedication to fostering an environment conducive to business growth by eliminating obstacles hindering corporate entities, in alignment with the directive of President Bola Tinubu.
Adedeji highlighted the ongoing restructuring efforts within FIRS, which have resulted in the establishment of a one-stop shop for taxpayers categorized according to their turnover thresholds. This initiative aims to simplify the tax payment process in the country and enhance efficiency in service delivery.
Furthermore, Adedeji addressed the issue of multiple letters sent from various units within FIRS regarding similar matters, stating that such redundancies have been eliminated as part of the ongoing restructuring.
He emphasized FIRS’s focus on providing prompt and efficient service to its customers.
