The Federal Executive Council has approved the mandatory Airport Access payment for every individual including Military personnel and Very Important Personalities (VIPs) at Airports across the country.

Briefing state House Correspondents after the 2 day long Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja, the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo said the Council approved mandatory Eticketing even on the President and Vice President Convoys, in order to reduce the over 85percent revenue losses which should be channelled towards airport infrastructure maintenance.

Our correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that the Aviation Minister also disclosed that the Council approved for the Ministry, the purchase and installation of Recovery Systems equipments in the sum of N4.2Billion.

He also expressed determination to ensure strict regulatory supervision on the aviation sector to prevent comatose airline or sector players from creating problems for the industry.
