The Federal Government says it may terminate some abandoned projects inherited from previous administrations with no clear source of funding.
Minister of Works, David Umahi who disclosed this to newsmen after meeting with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, frowned at situations where some contracts have been on-going for over 20 years, noting that there is need to liaise with the National Assembly on prioritization of projects approvals in the budgets.
Umahi said, presently the government has up to N14 Trillion on-going projects against Eighteen Thousand Kilometres, adding that with the Renewed Hope Mantra contractors must complete projects within four years.
Our Correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports the Minister also revealed that President Bola Tinubu approved the use of concrete technology instead of asphalt for the construction and rehabilitation of roads nationwide; with plans to toll some roads in the country.
