The Federal Government, through the Central Bank of Nigeria, has once again adjusted the exchange rate for cargo clearance, setting it at N1,605 per dollar.
This latest adjustment comes shortly after the rate rose to N1,515/$ and then dropped to N1,472/$.
Since January, there have been multiple increases in the exchange rate for cargo clearance. It was initially set at N952/$ in December but has since risen to N1,605/$, marking a significant increase over the past few months.
Visiting the portal of the Nigeria Customs Service on Wednesday, the new exchange rate of N1,605/$ reflected on the portal, indicating the implementation of the latest adjustment.
