FEC Approves National Sports Industry Policy 2022-26

The Federal Executive Council has approved the National Sports Industry Policy 2022-2026. Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Mr Sunday Dare who disclosed this Wednesday, explained that the policy entails the building of a business model into Nigeria’s sports development to allow private investments driven by incentives.

Media & Publicity, at the office of the Vice President, Laolu Akande, who spoke on behalf of Ministry of Works and Housing revealed that the Council approved a N260 billion variation order, increasing total sum to N506billion, in respect of repair works on the East West Road project affected BY the recent flooding in the Niger Delta.

He added that the Ministry also got approval for the award of contracts for urgent repairs and special general maintenance of some roads nationwide with the completion time of 36 months.

Our Correspondent reports that the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Mohammad Abubakar while commenting on the impact of the recent flooding on Agricultural produce, assured that there would be no shortage of food in the country.
