FEC Approves N49bn Revised Sum For Enugu-Onitsha Link Road

 The Federal Executive Council, FEC, presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, has approved the AUGMENTATION of the contractual cost of ENUGU to ONITSHA road by N17billion.

The Works Minister, Babatunde Fashola, in his brief after the meeting, explained that the latest approval raises the total cost of the project to N48.9billion with a completion period of 42 Months.

N6.28bn was also approved for “surface maintenance” of the Third Mainland Bridge, in Lagos State.

The Council also approved the procurement and installation of LUGGAGE SCANNERS in all railway stations in Abuja, Kaduna and Kano.

The Minister of State for Transportation, Ademola Adegoroye, who briefed State House correspondents, said the procurement would cost N498m.
