Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has shared pre-wedding photos with his partner, Chioma Rowland. 

The photos, posted on Davido’s verified Instagram account (@davido) on Sunday, are captioned with “#CHIVIDO2024,” signaling their upcoming nuptials. The couple’s traditional wedding is set to take place on Tuesday in Lagos.

The pre-wedding photos come amid controversy involving Davido’s former partner, Sophia Momodu. Sophia has accused Davido of neglecting their child, Imade, for the past two years. In her response to a lawsuit filed by Davido over the custody of their daughter, Sophia alleges that since their breakup in July 2022, Davido has not fulfilled his financial responsibilities towards Imade. She claims to have been solely responsible for their daughter’s expenses, including rent and healthcare.

Additionally, Sophia has accused Davido of making threats against her due to her refusal to engage in a sexual relationship with him post-breakup. She asserts that these threats have contributed to his lack of financial support for their daughter.

The allegations from Sophia Momodu cast a shadow over Davido’s forthcoming wedding celebrations, bringing attention to ongoing personal and legal disputes.
