Nigerian afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced a 300 million Naira donation to orphanages across the country.

The announcement was made by Davido himself in a post shared on his X, formerly Twitter, handle on Tuesday. He also stated that he would provide details of the disbursement on Wednesday.

Davido along with his foundation, David Adeleke Foundation annually made donations to orphanages.

In November 2021, Davido donated N250m to 292 orphanages, in commemoration of his 29th birthday.

In July 2023, the musician was also reported to have donated N237 million to over 400 orphanages in Nigeria.
