Burna Boy has extended his record as the most certified Nigerian artist in France after his collaboration with Shakira, “Dai Dai,” earned Gold certification.

The achievement gives the Grammy-winning singer 17 music certifications in France, the highest by any Nigerian artist.

“Dai Dai,” the official anthem of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, has enjoyed strong global success since its release, topping streaming charts and gaining widespread international attention.

Burna Boy and Shakira performed the song at the tournament’s opening ceremony in Mexico and are also scheduled to perform it during the World Cup final halftime show.

The latest certification further strengthens Burna Boy’s commercial success in France, where he remains one of Africa’s biggest-selling music stars.
