Nigerian music star Burna Boy has been named Africa’s best-selling artist of all time after selling 14.46 million equivalent album units, according to music analytics platform Chartmasters.
The Grammy winner reached the milestone through the global success of his albums and streaming numbers, further cementing his place as one of Africa’s biggest music exports.
Beyond record sales, Burna Boy remains Africa’s highest-grossing touring artist, setting milestones as the first African act to sell out venues such as London Stadium, Madison Square Garden, and Stade de France. He also holds records for the highest-grossing African tour, single concert, and concerts in Canada and Oceania.
The latest achievement adds to Burna Boy’s growing list of records, reinforcing his status as one of the continent’s most commercially successful artists.
