The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha has inaugurated a 22-member Transition Council – describing it as “a demonstration of the administration’s key commitment to strengthening key governance institutions” – which support the democratic process.
The council is charged with the responsibility of handing over power to the president-
elect, coordinating security for him, amongst other duties.
Responding for the Council, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Folashade Yemi-Esan expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed on them and assured that the committee will work with government to ensure smooth transition.
