Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has filed a ₦2.55 billion defamation suit against fellow rapper Odumodu Blvck over social media posts accusing him of being a “sexual abuser.”
According to court documents, Blaqbonez is seeking ₦2 billion in general damages for alleged harm to his reputation, career, and emotional well-being, ₦500 million in aggravated damages, and ₦50 million to cover legal costs.
The lawsuit also asks the court to order Odumodu Blvck to delete the alleged defamatory posts, publish a public apology on his verified X and Instagram accounts for at least 30 consecutive days, and stop making or sharing similar allegations in the future.
Blaqbonez’s legal team described Odumodu’s actions as a sustained campaign of online harassment and defamation, alleging repeated posts, threats, and damaging statements over time.
Odumodu Blvck has rejected the demands and maintains his allegations, although the claims have not been proven in court. The case is expected to be determined through legal proceedings.
