Ayra Starr will headline an NFL halftime show in London, becoming the first Afrobeats act to take the spotlight at an NFL game.

The singer will perform on October 11 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, during the Philadelphia Eagles’ clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The NFL announced the booking on Thursday, while Ayra Starr described the opportunity as a dream come true.

NFL Senior Director of Global Game Presentation, Music and Entertainment Tim Tubito praised Starr as a major talent with a strong following in London.

Her performance will also come shortly after the release of her latest album, Starrgirl, which has attracted support from fans and fellow musicians.
