ART X Lagos Launches ‘Resonance’ Residency Programme for Nigerian Creatives in Paris

As ART X Lagos marks its 10th anniversary, the platform is unveiling an exciting new initiative—Resonance, an international residency program designed to elevate Nigeria’s most promising curators, visual artists, and designers through immersive experiences in Paris.

In collaboration with the Embassy of France in Nigeria and the Cité internationale des arts, the initiative offers three selected creatives the opportunity to spend three months in the French capital, engaging in artistic research, cultural exchange, and professional development.

Slated to run across three distinct tracks—Curatorial, Design, and Visual Arts, the programme provides studio accommodation in Paris, mentorship with French curators and the design agency Trampoline, a monthly living stipend, covered travel expenses, and curated networking opportunities. Participants will also have the opportunity to collaborate with ART X Lagos beyond the residency.

Applications are now open and will close on Sunday, 3 August 2025 at 11:59 PM WAT.

Residency Dates:

  • Curatorial Residency: 3 October – 26 December 2025
  • Design Residency: 10 November 2025 – 28 January 2026
  • Visual Arts Residency: 3 December 2025 – 26 February 2026

Eligible applicants must be:

  • Nigerian residents working in the creative field
  • Aged 23 or older by 1 January 2025
  • Have at least 5 years of professional experience
  • Ready to fully commit to the residency and participate in the Parisian art scene

Interested creatives are encouraged to apply and take advantage of this opportunity to grow their practice and gain international exposure. More information is available on the ART X Lagos website.
