Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo has said the performance of President Bola Tinubu’s administration could become a major factor in the 2027 general election, citing concerns over poverty, insecurity and governance.

Adebayo argued that many of the country’s pressing challenges remain unresolved and said Nigerians should focus on issues affecting their daily lives rather than political personalities as preparations for the next election gather pace.

He also stressed the need for national unity and effective leadership, noting that his focus is on building support around solutions to Nigeria’s problems rather than simply creating an opposition alliance.

According to him, the outcome of the 2027 election will largely depend on voter participation and public confidence in the electoral process.
