Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has declared that some international media organisations and Think tanks have admitted that they were misinformed about the chances of the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, winning the 2023 Presidential polls.
The minister was in Washington and London to defend the legitimacy of the just concluded general elections and correct the imbalance in the skewed narrative, which had pervaded the air on the polls.
Addressing newsmen at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House, London, where he concluded his engagements, Mohammed also insisted that president-elect Bola Tinubu will be sworn in on May 29 despite court cases challenging his victory.
Meanwhile, American magazine, Time, has named Bola Ahmed Tinubu, among the 100 most influential persons across the world in 2023.
Time, further delved into the past how the former Lagos governor fought military regimes to return Democracy. Among top world figures who made the list is the US President, Joe Biden and both Paris Saint-Germain stars; Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
