The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, says that the Legislative Agenda of the 10th House currently being worked out would champion causes toward addressing the yearnings of Nigerians.
The Speaker, in his address at a stakeholders’ meeting yesterday, said the parliament was ready to welcome citizens’ participation in the efforts towards addressing the challenges facing the country.
Our correspondent Nathan Williams reports that earlier, the House Leader and Chairman of the Ad-hoc Committee on Legislative Agenda, Hon. Julius O. Ihonvbere, outlined six key pillars that will serve as the foundation of the 10th Assembly legislative agenda to include Economic Empowerment and Diversification, Infrastructure Development, Education and Human Capital Development.
While calling for a Legislative agenda that promotes inclusivity in all spheres of government, the Executive Director, Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre PLAC, Clement Nwankwo added that Nigerians are currently in a confused State due to the hard-economic situation and its effect.
