Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) and other related offense Council ICPC have embark on a two-day training workshop on Anti-Corruption, Ethnics and Integrity to curb the lingering trends of corruption in the country. The Acting Chairman to the commission Bar. Abdullah Bako who declared the workshop open in Abuja said that the training is to equip the Ebony State officials in discharging their duties without corrupt practices.  Since the assumption of President Muhammadu Buhari's  administration, the fight against corruption has brought tremendous growth on Nigeria's economy through fund and asset recovery by money looters. To this end, the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offense Council deems it fit in organizing the training for these officials to address the challenges of public funds mismanagement in the country.  Also speaking at the event, the governor of Ebony state,Chief David Umahi said the participants will be trained on anti-corruption ethics so as to efficiently promote the interest of every citizens upon discharging of duties. However, the Governor commended the ICPC for being proactive to organize the workshop and therefore enjoined commissioners of the state to participate fully in the training to eliminate corruption and other criminal offenses.  Our correspondent Raliat Adenekan report that The two day training was organized  by the ICPC and the Ebony State governor to stimulate capacity building of all officials and also striving towards identifying corrupt practices to enable early prevention of stolen funds in the country.
